Hi I'm Danika, For me, being a hairstylist has never been just about hair. It’s about people, relationships, confidence, and the little moments that make life meaningful.

I’ve spent the past 20 years behind the chair, building my career through a genuine love for cutting, coloring, creating, and continuing to learn. Hair has always been a creative outlet for me, but the people I’ve met along the way are what have made this career so special. Over the years, clients have become friends, and friends have become family. I’ve had the privilege of being there for some of life’s biggest moments—the celebrations, the heartbreaks, the new beginnings, and everything in between.

That same love for people is at the heart of Oak & Ivy Salon. I wanted to create a salon that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuine—a place where you can come in, sit in the chair, and truly feel like yourself. I’m incredibly proud of the talented stylists who call Oak & Ivy home. We each have our own specialties and personalities, but we share a passion for our craft, a commitment to education, and a desire to make every person who walks through our doors feel special.

Giving back to my community has also been a huge part of my journey. For 15 years, I’ve volunteered my time providing haircuts and services to people experiencing homelessness. Those experiences have reminded me again and again that something as simple as a haircut can restore a little confidence, dignity, and hope. Everyone deserves to feel cared for and reminded that they matter.

I feel incredibly fortunate that I get to do something I love for a living while also using my skills to make a difference in the lives of others.

Oak & Ivy is more than a salon to me. It’s a reflection of what I believe in: creativity, connection, kindness, and making people feel beautiful—not just on the outside, but on the inside too.
